London, and Edinburgh!

So, once again I've been extremely busy! I need to take my camera out with me more, so I can actually document my adventures, and performances.
Recently I've been working at a London night club called Cirque Du Soir, Cirque is one of the best, and most notorious clubs in London. I always have so much fun there. Here's my look for the super hero party they threw last week...

Gypsy Hotel is always a prominent event in my calendar. It's like a family gathering. I performed/partied there last week, and I have a few photos taken by Sin Bozkurt:

I was also performing in Edinburgh as part of 'The Festival of Erotic Arts' with the Torture Garden crew. It was such a great event, and it was made even more fun by seeing and working with friends. (Awwwww!)

Here's a teaser video from Torture Garden Edinburgh, shot and edited by one of my favourite performers; Mr Pustra. For those of you who are not yet aware of the magic that this man can create, please have a look at his website: www.mrpustra.com

In Edinburgh, I performed with Pustra, as part of his King Midas inspired performance. I was honoured to be asked, and hopefully in the future we can work on more performances together. The video should be in the post below... I love how impromptu and improvised it was. Probably for me much more than Pustra, but the show flows, and it was an inspiration to perform with a friend.

A few months ago, a London 'Burlesque' photographer named Tigz Rice, came to see one of my shows at La Reve - Cafe de Paris, and she took some stunning live shots of my fire eating performance, whilst I was wearing the collaborative costume that myself and Finnish rope artist - Tinttu Henttonen made, here are the photos: (www.tigzrice.com)

Helsinki, London, Berlin, Milan and Warsaw!

Once again, it's been a while since I last updated this blog. Things have been busy as usual, and I've been splitting my time between Helsinki, London, Berlin, Milan and Warsaw. (I'm currently in Milan as I write this.)
I've been filming a reportage styled documentary about myself, and my art with a Polish film crew/television crew (TVN). So far it's been a rewarding and culturally enlightening experience. I have met some absolutely lovely people, and have experienced things that I never would have been able to if I wasn't shown around Warsaw by a native. (Disco-polo!)
Warsaw is an incredible city, and at times I found it rather difficult to interpret. Unfortunately I didn't have a chance to visit any historical/war museums, however, I was able to visit the Warsaw Photoplastikon, which made me so incredibly happy!
It's quite strange to be working on such a large scale project about myself, but the more we film, the more I learn about myself and how others perceive me, as a performer and as an individual. Which as an artist is incredibly enlightening, if not sometimes slightly embarrassing, as every small habit can be amplified by the camera.

I took the train from Warsaw to Berlin, to perform with Osca - a conceptual art, pop band at the official after party for the Berinale Film festival. The show was fabulous, so much fun was had, and many, many cocktails were consumed. All I can say is: flying with a hangover is no fun at all...

In Helsinki I have been working on several projects; one of which being a series of photos with renowned photographer, Juha Arvid Helminen. Here's one of the portraits:

It's titled "The girl with a hole in her sock" (2012, Helsinki).

I'm currently in Milan as I performed for Dsquared2, as part of the opening for Milano Fashion week. (I was fire eating) The venue was incredible, an old red and gold baroque styled theatre, completely transformed into an old music hall, set for the chicest fashionistas in Milan. With sideshow alleys, magicians, show girls and champagne! Not to mention the outrageous displays created to house the new season's bag collections. You can see how stunning the secret entrance is...

Here's a small promo video:

I have also been interviewed by renowned illustrator Marie Meier, for the French online Burlesque portal: The Burlesque Corner. You can read it here, but it is in French: Interview. Marie, has also completed a portrait of me, which I think is absolutely incredible! Thank you so much Marie, you are one hugely talented lady!

You can view Marie's website here: Marie Meier

I have also received this lovely shot from a performance I did in Paris in January:

Tonight I'll be performing at The Royal Burlesque Revue, Milano with the Voodoo Deluxe family! It's going to be brilliant. And,  I have a few new costumes to take for a test drive.

More photos coming soon from Dsquared, Juha Arvid Helminen, and othe projects coming soon...

Paris, January 2012!

All's seemingly been quiet since November; but as always I've been busy! In November/December I was performing at Palais Mascotte, Geneva Switzerland. It's a lovely show, and is Switzerland's oldest, cabaret!
New Years Eve was spent performing for photographer Neil Kendall's 1920s Egyptian Ball, also featuring Luna Rosa, Paul Debeck and Vicky Butterfly.

I have just been to Paris where I performed at Carnival Tease, it was SO much fun. I absolutely love Paris, and spent most of time being a culture junkie, seeing as many exhibitions as I possibly could with lovely friends.
Here's a few photos from the Paris show (Produced by Cherry Lyly Darling)
